Coin Blitz is a clean entry in the wave-survival auto-shooter family - the genre that started with games like Vampire Survivors and Brotato and has since spread
across the mobile and web ecosystem in dozens of variations. You position your shooter with a drag, your shooter fires automatically at the nearest enemies, and waves of attackers crash
in from the edges of the screen. Survive long enough, kill enough enemies, collect their coins, spend the coins on upgrades, survive longer next wave. The loop is simple. The texture comes
from the upgrade tree.
The decisions you make between waves are where the actual game lives. Do you upgrade fire rate, damage, projectile count, or movement speed? Each choice changes how you'll handle the next
wave - faster shots clear small enemies but miss the big ones, more projectiles cover crowds but lower per-shot damage. Stack the wrong tree and a single tough wave wipes you. Stack the
right tree and you become unstoppable for ten minutes before the difficulty scaling catches up.
The audience is the auto-shooter crowd specifically: people who like the slot-machine-meets-roguelite rhythm of those games, where every run is a small experiment in build optimization.
It's not strategically deep enough to compare to the genre's heavyweights, but as a quick session it delivers the satisfying coin-explosion-and-power-creep feeling cleanly.
Tips & Strategy
Pick a build before the first wave and commit to it. Spreading upgrades across every category is how runs die - you end up with a shooter that's mediocre at
everything. Fire rate and projectile count are the two pillars; damage and range are secondary. Move during waves, not between them - kiting enemies in a slow arc lets your auto-fire do
its job without exposing you to flanks. Watch for coin-magnet upgrades and prioritize them once available; missed coins compound into a missed upgrade tier. And don't get greedy at the end
of a wave - surviving an extra second to pick up two more coins isn't worth eating a hit.
Our Take
Coin Blitz nails the basic loop of its genre. The shooting feel is satisfying, the coin pickup and explosion feedback is dopamine-perfect, and the upgrade tree has
just enough decision-making to make runs feel different. It doesn't bring much new to the auto-shooter format, but as a clean, accessible browser entry it's a solid pick - especially if
you want the wave-survival feeling without committing to a full Steam game.
